Announcement: Rep Business Channel Expansion

By Tom Carney | Published on February 6, 2010 - 8:00 AM EST

With the ever expanding need of driving new account business, Prototron Circuits will be augmenting their direct sales staff with their addition of 3rd party representation of the company in several select territories in the United States and Canada.

Per Dave Ryder, Prototron's President, "With the continued softness in the economy, we are seeing changing dynamics in our customer's order requirements. We see less of the larger quantity prototype orders and longer leadtime RFQ's in the QTA arena. Where our specialty is in the leadtimes 7 days and under, with 5 days being our standard delivery lead-time, we are seeing fewer companies asking for 2, 3 and 5 days and now opting for deliveries outside of our traditional sweetspot. All companies are watching the bottom line these days."

Per Dave, "To drive additional business, we have directed Tom Carney, Prototron's Eastern Regional Sales manager to build a representative business channel to help bridge some of the current softness we are experiencing. Additionally, we look to the rep channel as a compliment to our direct sales team in helping drive some of our future revenues that will allow Prototron to maintain our growth plans."

Through Tom's efforts, Prototron added Electronics Manufacturers Representatives (EMA) based out of Raleigh, NC and Huntsville, AL as Prototron's first set of 3rd party representation. Tom will also be looking in several primary regions for adding other rep business channels to expand the company's North American sales coverage.

Per Tom, "In the 35 years I have been in this industry, I have never worked with a company that is as consistent as Prototron is in meeting their customer's overall deliverables. Our affinity for timeliness, quality of product, engineering support and exceptional service is what has allowed Prototron to be the successful company it is. This is one company that clearly states what they do and does that on a repeatable basis; there are very few others that can compete with our performance."

If your company is looking for a well established QTA PCB Prototype Company with exceptional capability and support, please call Tom.
